oil pressure with psi is 0 with mech gauge. bought new oil pump will install tomorrow.

 

hi i have a problem identicle to yours with the oil pressure deal, you said you were going to put a new pump in, did that fix your problem???

While I agree a pump that has been in service will normally prime, I changed oil in a 57 chev one time and it would not prime. I took the oil press sender out, poured oil in the hole, hit it with a short blast of air and away it went. A very rare occurance but it can happen.
