Exclamation 2001, 2500HD Trailer Brake issue

I love my truck. But a brake issue is killing me.

There seems to be a 1-2in free movement of the brake pedal before the brakes kick. It has always been there, just tired of it because I am towing more.

OK... Tech wise.... There is a NEW Master, Newer lines. They are bled and work fine. It is just the pedal travel issue.

The reason the travel is an issue is trailering. The pedal monitor switch that activates the trailer brakes is right when you touch the pedal. Then I have the slack before the truck brakes catch. So I am wearing out my trailer brakes/tires along with having one heck of a hard jolting ride at times.
Any ideas?
