I have a 2001 chevy Silverado 5.3L V8 and my serpentine belt shredded off and my tensioner pulley broke, went and got a new pulley (only one kind for my truck) installed it, bought the recommended belts (there are two for different amps alternator) and tried both and both belts are an inch to two inches too long, even tried getting a smaller belt not reconmended and still too big, I have been to every single parts store and they all say the same belts, I've followed the diagram to the T and routed correctly and still can't get it to fit correctly. I need help...I don't know what else to do other than tow it to a shop somewhere and pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed and hope to God they can do it.
