New to forum... didn't see anything in the search, please help.
my 2001 Silverado 4.3L V6 will not start. It cranks over, the fuel pressures up, but no spark, not a single pop. It showed a slight sign of hesitation the last it ran.
Ignition module?
please send ideas: mikeskiw@gmail.com
thanks,
Mike

I had the same issue about 6 mo. ago. I skipped real bad and then popped. It wouldn't refire but would turn over and over. I replaced the ignition coil and it started right up!

Got it running yesterday. The cap and rotor were completely oxidized from sitting for a month without being used. Now I have a spare ignition module to put on e-bay.

Hi, Bought a 99 with the 4.3 and it wont start. The guy i bought it from said it was the starter and i just replaced that. Still not starting. I can hear the engine turn over. I think i may have a timing problem? but this truck has been sitting a while too. Where is the cap and rotor for starting?
