Default 2003 Silv. Z-71 112K Miles for $10,950

Would any of you please give me a little advice on this truck?

Pasted from the website: Z-71 PKG. 4 DOOR EXTENDED CAB, LOADED WITH FEATURES, ALLOY WHEELS, PREMIUM DEEP TREAD TIRES, 4X4 OF COURSE, TONNEAU COVER, REESE HITCH, AUTO, AC, PL, PM, PW, CRUISE, TILT, GREAT LOOKING TRUCK INSIDE & OUT, ONLY 112K MILES
$10,950

The LINK is below. In your honest opinions, might the transmission (assuming it is the original) be ready to go? Other MAJOR problems that do/have arisen due to it having been driven 112,000 miles?

Is this truck still decent after 112,000 miles?

From your experiences, might this truck be worth the price?

ANY and ALL suggestions would be much appreciated.

This is my first time here, I just joined. I am on other forums, and decided to join this one as well.

No, I will not be hauling too much with it, just a couple dirt bikes and the occasional furniture.

What I most like about the truck is the ROOM it offers. I perfectly understand this will not be the most economical truck out there, but I use public transportation for work and do not drive as much as others might.

I bought a 2004 (two-wheel drive) with 74,000 miles on it back in February -- and paid $11,900. This was also from a dealership. Mine is loaded (AT, A/C, cruise, LS trim level, extended cab, CD player, etc.) and is the same color as the truck in the ad. Mine even has the 4x4 rims (17") that a previous owner added. The 2wd trucks had 16-inchers.

The price you mention sounds a wee bit higher than normal - but if the truck is in excellent condition and has been properly maintained, it is hardly broken in yet.

I am approaching 80,000 miles on mine and it runs like a new truck. That 5.3L V8 sounds much better now, as I added a complete Flowmaster dual exhaust system back in April. I also had the coolant flushed out, the transmission serviced, new serpentine belts and BG service for the fuel injection system. Money well spent if you get a used truck!

I've pretty much always been a "Ford" guy most of the time, but am basically happy with my Chebby. I plan to keep it for a long time.

P.S. A friend of mine has a 2002 Silverado 4x4 that he bought new, and just turned 140,000 miles on it. He says it is "halfway" through its lifespan.

Here are some photos of my 2004 Silverado -- pretty much the same style as the '03 versions. I think the '03 to '06 models all shared the same look. Chevy even had some leftover '06 trucks that they sold as '07 models as they phased in the latest body style.
