2003 Silverado Brake Problem
Theinside of the rear brake rotorson my 2003 Silverado are rusted and corroded. The inside rear brake pad is also wore out. The truck only has 40,000 miles on it and I was wondering if thisis a common problem and why this happened.

RE: 2003 Silverado Brake Problem
If you look at your calipers they only have one piston, on the inside (or towards the diff). When you hit the brakes that pad hits first then the caliper slides over and the other pad contacts the rotor. Most of the time that is why one pad always wears faster then the other. As for the corrosion it could be from water or something you drove through. If it is only on the rotors I wouldn't worry about it. You will have to replace them eventually anyway.
