I have a 2003 Z71 Silverado with approximately 30k miles. I have noticed for quite some time now that when I am making a sharp right hand turn at very low speeds, I can feel some popping in the steering wheel. I feels like something has wear or something. Any idea's and suggestions on how I can trouble shoot the problem?

This unfortunately is a common problem that is cured by replacing the Upper Intermediate Shaft with GM part number 19153614.
If you purchased the GM Protection Plan (GMPP) extended warranty it will cover this repair.

Yeah, it was a common problem. I had a 2000 and a 2006 that did the same thing. When I brought my 2000 to the dealership, they just repacked it with greese, I think. Not long after that, it did the same thing again. Its just something I got use to.
