The audio through my speakers distorts really bad and sometimes creates an intermittent high pitch ring so horrible I have to shut off the radio. It has an aftermarket double din radio in in that is brand new. Any ideas how to figure out this issue? I've had multiple audio places check into it and have received 0 results. The only lead I have is to replace the stock Bose amp.

I can’t find it right now, but GM did issue a TSB for the 2004 models having interference like you described.
First, unplug ANY aftermarket devices you may be using - phone chargers or anything that’s plugged into the OBD 2 port and see if that cures it. Aftermarket devices are known to cause multiple problems on GM vehicles.
If that’s not it, verify good grounds to the radio. Wiggle testing the harness with the radio on is the easiest way. If the radio display or speakers cut in and out, inspect harness for damage.
Finally, if no other cause is found, install a noise filter into the radio harness. I can verify the location for you on Monday.
