Default 2004 Sliverado Blend door acutator.

Ok people. Here's the skinny.
Can't speak for anything but the 2003 -2007 Silverado with bucket seats and the full center console. But on those the drivers side blend door located at the bottom ot the airbox is part number 604-121 Dorman. Same as or better than the GM part with a lifetime warranty from Oreilly's. $66.95. The best I can tell it's the ony one with the metal main gear. All the rest have the plastic main gear. DO NOT plug it in until the battery is disconnected. Install the actuator then hook the battery up and wait a full 5 minutes before you turn the ignition on. Then turn the ignition on and wait at least a minute before you move the control levers. Start the vehicle then wait another 5 minutes for the unit to calibrate.
Shut down then restart and it should work perfectly. Mine did as well as many others I have done.
If you install it with the battery hooked upped you can expect it to not work.
As I say I cannot say whether this acuator will work with any truck other than the center console but it worked perfectly for mine.
Hope it helps someone.
Gene.

you can remove the cover and re-center the actuator if needed...for example...when they are powered when not connected to the blend door.
