2005 4wd acting up

2005 4wd acting up
My 2005 Silverado 4wd service message is coming on and intermittently the push button control acts as if it is in neutral.
The truck seems to operate fine, until today when it went to 4wd low and would not switch out.
I tried shutting off the truck and restarting, which has helped in the past, but not today.
Anyone have any ideas???
