2005 Silverado High Pitched noise when towing

2005 Silverado High Pitched noise when towing
2005 Silverado K3500, 8.1 L engine. About 75k miles are on it.
When towing uphill when engine is under a significant load I am getting a high pitched noise. It is bad enough to scare me off from towing trailer in mountains again as I don't want to get stranded. If my darn Suburban brake controller was working properly I would tow to see what brakes in Truck. Belt tensioner pulley and Alternator are new. I suspect it is pully but uncertain which one.
Anyone have the same thing happen?
