Default 2005 Silverado v6 possible clutch issue?

I have a 05 Silverado v6 5 speed.. I notice if you are in neutral you can hear a very light and steady grinding type noise. The moment you engage the clutch you no longer hear the noise. Would this be the symptoms of needing a new bearing? or should i go for an entire clutch assembly?

Thank you for your help

Sounds like the throw out bearing. If you do the labor to change the bearing then you might as well change the clutch as well. The labor would already almost be done. At least change the clutch disc. If you have high mileage then change the disc and the pressure plate.
