i have a 2006 silverado ext cab 4x4 with a 5.3 liter v8. it has just under 15,000 miles. i know that is low miles but i don't drive it that much. anyways i was driving it yesterday when all of a sudden my oil pressure guage drops to zero and then the motor starts ticking. i pull over and shut off the motor. i check the oil and it is at the full mark. the oil change was done about 500 miles ago. i crawl underneath the truck and find no leaks so i have the truck towed to the dealership, of course it is after hours.i have all the receipts for the oil changes so i hope the warranty will not be a problem. has anyone else heard of this happening to this year of 5.3 liter motor. i will keep you all posted on what happens. is there anything else i need to do or look out for. i am just worried they are going to try to screw me on this some how.
