I own a 2006 chevrolet silverado 4.8 V8. I have already installed k&n intake system and a magnaflow exhaust. I would like to install a throttle body space, performance mass air flow sensor, superchip (programmer), and possibly some performance headers. Please le me know the best products available and if there are any other upgrades I should look into. Would especially like to talk to someone with the same vehicle.

I just bought the same truck and am planning on similar upgrades. I haven't desided on the brands of exhaust and intake yet but I will most likely pick up a Helix or AIRAID throttle body spacer. I wouldn't waste money on a MAF sensor since they only help with major engine mods. As for the super chip programmer, I believe the same goes but if it could be reprogrammed by a shop for $100, I'd do it. When I do perform some upgrades I will record the HP/TQ changes with a G-Tech Performance Meter, for each change. I'll try to keep a posting. Also, were you happy with the Mods you have performed thus far?

 

I've put a Helix Throttle body spacer on my 2006 4.8 litre and I can't really tell any difference in power have not checked mpg, so i guess i'm a little dissapointed in the spacer[]
