5.3 with 4.10s you will be fine.....remember someone posted in here about their 2500 6.0 the 1500 6.0 has DOD so it still shuts down on the highway when you wont be pulling, so this will do you better for gas milage then a 2500.....

 

Well I made my purchase yesterday,5/29/07. I walked up on a good deal at one of the local dealerships. I found a fully loaded SilverLTZ Silverado 5.3with all options including a moon roof except Nav for a steal as it had been on the lot for more than 60 days. Even not using a GM discount which I had access to it was less than 32K on a vehicle that had a MSRP at just under 40K.
