Default 2007 Chevrolet 6.0 runs at 240 degrees at idle

Does anyone know if thats normal? It runs down the road at a constant 210

Not normal....210 is too high for running down the road as well.

Time for a complete cooling system check beginning with the basics.

My guess would be inadequate water circulation at any RPM....radiator full of gunk,since no mention of water pump leaking.

Check your thermostat. I had the same problem with mine. The thermostat is cheap and doesn't take long to replace. The least you could do is take yours out to make sure the spring is working and that the seal around the top isn't corroded.
