I got the 4.11 gears on order and I'm going with a tuner. I will wait on the airbags and see how it tows 9,000 pounds. I'm also going to upgrade my weight distributing hitch.
I'm asking a lot of my half ton but hopefully it will deliver.

law enforcement is strict where I am. if your over weight; its tow truck time because they won't let you move it. I want to put a slide in camper in my 1500 but I know i'll get busted.

Nobody has been able to tell me that I would be overweight. The 1500 silverado extended cab with the bigger motor is rated at 8800 and has exactly the same suspension I have.
The problem is everybody I talk says something different. There is no question the truck would pull it with the 4.11 gears but how would I determine that the weight of the trailer is too much?
