2007 silverado 5.3 tuning

I'm looking into getting a custom tune but I'm wondering if its gonna hurt my gas mileage does anybody have any suggestions??

I'm in Florida there's a guy local tht I hear highly of I'm just trying to figure out if its gonna hurt my gas mileage
