sitting in traffic i start to overheat, turn on heat and almost goes back to normal, thats 1st problem
2nd when towing my 4x4 trailer w/ golf cart inside check engine comes on
when i unhook the engine light goes out?
i been out of feild for 10yrs cause i lost finger , but slowly getting get in
can anyone share some ideas

 

ok for your first problem could be the thermostat, or it could be the gauge. if u can check the coolant temp when its "overheating"

the second. have u checked to make sure the trailer and the truck are wired the same

 

I have a 2007 chevy Silverado Crew Cab 5.3L that has been showing traction control reduced power and only running on 4cyl. It doesn't do this all the time but every now and then. I've put it on the computer and it shows about 6 codes. Some codes go to throttle body sensor then a air something sensor then a pedal sensor. Does anyone know which is the main problem. to replace all 3 would be about $600.
