2008 Dual climate control swap?

2008 Dual climate control swap?
Ok, first off, hello. New here to the site. I own(just bought 4 months ago) a 2008 Chevy Silverado CC Z71 4x4. Love this Truck. Im a huge Ford guy(Love Mustangs lol) but the Silverado is hands down a better truck than the F150 so i bought this vs the other.
Anyway.. my question is, can a person swap a manual or single a/c control out for the dual(electric) climate control panel? If so, will it actually work as far as being able to adjust both sides or is there more to it like having 2 compressors etc? I found a dual climate control panel for $80, but if i have to add compressors etc, i think im going to pass. Anyway, thanks for the advice in advance and ill deff post some pics of the truck when i get home. I cant access photobucket from the office so posting pics now is a no go for me.
