Default 2008 Silverado

I have a 2008 Silverado. When driving the door locks will go off and on twice the clock will restart. Then when I turn if off it will not start again for about 3 hours. I have taken it to several mechanics who have checked the battery and all of the connections and they say everything is ok, but this still happens. Any ideas?

Have you already taken it into a Chevy Certified dealership, ckelley117? We're very sorry for any frustration this has caused and we definitely feel the dealership is in the best position to offer technical assistance. If you'd like to send us your VIN, mileage, and contact info via private message we'll gladly check into this more on our end. We can also contact the dealer on your behalf. Let us know if you're interested!

I have taken it to two different dealerships. Not sure how the vin and mileage would help. I was just hoping to get some ideas about what to tell the mechanics might cause the problem so they could check.

I have a similar problem, plus several warning lights will come on and the transmission will shift to low gear. Sometimes the truck will surge ahead when stopped. Sometimes it will shut itself off when stopped. Had in to the dealer 4 times and they haven't solved the problem. Saw one post on this form who replaced the positive battery cable which solved the problem. Going to try it next. Already spent many $ at the dealer trying to fix the issue.
