I have a 2009 WT. I have read you can add remote start to the truck from Chevrolet. I took my truck to the dealer and they told me they could add it but would have to splice into my wiring. I will not do this. I understood that you could by the kit that would plug into the existing wiring and get a code from Chevrolet to make it work. The dealer also told me that I could not add the DIC to my truck, but I found the lead hooked on to a fake plastic plug behind the dash. In todays logic why would Chevrolet make 10 different harnesses, just make one that you can plug in what the options are.

 

WT trucks usually were not pre equipped with the remote start starter kit (where you have to add the module and new remotes later). Your vin will tell you whether or not it came that way. Same with the DIC kit. The plug may be there, but it doesn't mean the BCM is calibrated for it. Both of those accessory add on kits require that the truck came pre-equipped from the factory with the starter kits.
