2010 Chevy 1500 pulling hard to the right at random times
I was on the freeway yesterday and my truck pulled really hard to the right and my. Pulled over checked everything and seemed to be fine. Started my truck and drive perfectly for about another 10-15 minutes and it did it again. But I noticed after ever time I restart my truck it goes away for a little bit. Anyone know why it could be doing this?
The fact it goes away temporarily after a restart makes me think a power steering pump that is starting to fail, as sometimes that can result in intermittent hard-to-control steering. But my first inclination would be to check the steering linkage to both front wheels, as well as suspension components.
Check the power steering flood and see if it looks suspicious (flakes of metal?), feels gritty on the fingers, or smells burned.
