Default 2010 silverado flowmaster

Hi all! I'm new to the forums. Just bought a new 2010 Silverado 5.3L and was wondering what Flowmaster exhaust kit to order for it. A;lso wondering if the active fuel management is noticeable whenit changes from 8cylinders to 4 cylinders.

well i havent seen too many people with a 10 series but if your looking for something loud and aggressive. i'd say go with the 40 series. i have a 10 series muffler on my 04 1500 5.3 and i love the sound. it sounds pretty close to exhaust with no muffler.

I've just gathered up a 2010 Silverado 2500hd and i am looking to get a new exhaust for it, too. Have you had any luck finding kits for your 10 or are you just looking for a muffler? Also, I've read some posts about possibly voiding the warranty by changing the exhaust, do you know if that's right?
Thanks

I got a flowmaster for my truck and honestly I wish it was a little louder. Definitely try to youtube it before buying. I mean, I do like the sound of it, but there are lots of other mufflers out there that show mine up... But that's just me - the louder the better

Edit: I haven't heard that changing the exhaust voids the warranty, but my truck is 12 years old now. The warranty restrictions may have changed by now.

Doesn't matter what brand muffler you get, when your AFM kicks in, it's going to sound different, and prolly sound worse no matter what.

I have an 08 5.3L with AFM. Im running Flowmaster 40 series. I have 2.5 inch pipes with 3.5 inch tips. Sounds great, really aggressive. But I will say that when it switches to 4 cyc. It kinda sounds like a semi truck downshifting. It can be annoying a first especially when you get on the open highway and the vehicle keeps going back and forth from V8-V4.
