2010 Silverado Throttle Position Sensor

2010 Silverado Throttle Position Sensor
I have a 2010 Silverado that began showing the classic symptoms of a bad throttle position sensor. When I cranked it this morning, the truck began idling extremely rough and the cluster showed ENGINE POWER REDUCED and SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. My question is can I replace only the throttle position sensor (TPS) or am I forced to replace the entire throttle body? Autozone shows that you can purchase the TPS separate.
Any input would be appreciated.

Addition to the original post:
I just unplugged the wiring harness to the TPS and plugged it back in. I cranked the truck and all seems well except that the Check Engine light is still on. Does this mean the TPS is the issue?
