Arrow 2010 Silverado z71 4x4 5.3 ext cab Oil Pressure Issues

Ok guys Need input on this issue...
I googled this issue on these four by fours on the chevy silverados...
Found out this should be a recall on the Chevrolet Silverado 5.3 models.
also Camaro had this issue as well.
but getting back to the Silverado;

the Oil Pressure is not there upon start up, after a couple of seconds it jumps up to 40 when cold starting engine, then once warmed up it levels off at 30 psig.

Then when I am going down the freeway at higher speeds its about 40 tops at speeds of 80 at best. highest i ever seen it was 45 psig.
When I googled this issue,
Two main causes kept showing up, and found a couple of good You Tube Videos on this issue.
1. there is a pick up tube with an O ring that has issues because it has been smashed or cut or has damage when it was originally installed and is now worn down.
2. there is a oil sending sensor unit that has a plugged hole or screen filter that sits under it, once taken off , and it needs to be cleaned with brake kleener spray or gum out for carbs to clean off the oil build up crud. one needs a little pick with a hook shaped ice pick to snag it out of the block under the oil sensor sending unit. and the cost to do the first is, 400 alone, and the cost to do the second is about 40 bucks. the cost of the part on the first is about 5 bucks. and the cost of the second part is about 40-60 bucks.

I get lifter tapping if it sits there idling or upon start ups random, not every time, and once i run the slick 50 oil cleaner on high mileage engines, and the fuel cleaner... it does and has brought up the pressure some, but then it falls back to 30 again... not sure if this is at all ok.
I dont like the dry start ups and the random ticking on the lifters.
had the engine light come on once since i recently owned the truck , that gave the error code of saying its an oil pressure or electrical issue.
I am not ready to change an oil pump, and dont believe it is an oil pump, although the motor has 300k, the power is like new on this motor... of course because its a chevy. One thing i heard is from the dealer , not that i can rely on them anymore, the kid said, my engine was about a 4th generation 5.3 liter and should not have had the O ring issue.. im thinking yea fkg right. the kid didnt know wtf was wrong with the front end clicking, and Big O found it , probably because they fkd it up changing my outter tie rod ends by breaking my Rack and Pinion drive, now that fkg clicks when i hit bumps. feeling it in the steering column. sheesh.
