Default 2012 2500 hd

Well I just bought a 2012 silverado 2500hd LT trim package. Extended cab. Gas v-8. I believe I am going to love this truck. I have been a dodge truck owner since 1996. Thought I would try the Chevy. I like the style of the new trucks. Anyway. Hope it lasts 334000 miles like the dodge did. Any thing special I need to worry about?

nice truck

do your fluid changes on schedule...front & rear diff, t-case and trans fluid at 90 000km, coolant at 5 years, oil changes on time and it will last a long time.

The 2500 is a much better choice than the 1500 in my opinion; when you need to pull somthing it is built to do it.

I love the power of my 6.0l in my 1500. I can pull anything I want. I pull an 8k camper with no problems. My truck currently has 72k miles on it. No problems. Did a tune up, upper intake cleaning and replaced forward o2 sensors. Definitely agree with Tech2. Do all normal fluid changes and you will be fine.

Don't worry about any fuel stabilizer. The 6.0 goes through gas fast enough, that you will never have to worry about the fuel spoiling.

Enjoy!!!!
