Update
The dealership said that after putting a full charge on the batteries a few hours later it took an hour and a half to charge. Even though the batteries checked out they now believe it is at least one bad battery. The swapped out both batteries and now it didn't need a charge so they think they fixed the problem. I will pick up the truck today and we will see.

The battery replacements solved the problem. I have not had any further issues to this point. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions.

When the gm esential tool, the $2000 GR-8 battery testing station doesn't fail a bad battery...it leads the tech down a wrong road.

Sometimes the old fashion carbon pile tester is the better way.

Glad you got it fixed.

Well it just took longer with the new batteries. After sitting for 5 days without starting it, it failed to start. Back in touch with GM and dealer.

I have been down that road before on another vehicle the AAA really only cares about safety issues otherwise they side with the manufacturer. Lemon law applies but it's dependent on level if problem I am sure they would not side with me on a non safety issue

Sorry for late reply. The issue was resolved it was an after market DVD player I had installed. The hooked it to constant hot not switched hot and so was draining power.
