Can anyone tell me what their average MPG is, in their 6l 2500.

I'm looking at buying a 2015 double cab standard box z71 4.1 ratio 6l and want to gauge the cost of fuel, I had a 5.3l in my 1500 and was getting 15.5/100 then I added a bully dog tuner, K&N cold air intake upgraded the plugs and I cut my millage by 30% @ 10/100 on the highway and 11 in the city. If the millage isn't terrible I'd like to do the same with the 6l

Well, I have only had my 2015 2500HD double cab, standard box, LT, Z71 6.0L, 4.10 for a short time, but the lifetime avg so far in just under 1000 miles is 13 mpg for all miles. That is on winter fuel (E15) in below freezing temps and a fair amount of wind. It should be a little better during the summer months on summer fuel. It is all stock right now. I am satisfied with the mpg right out of the gate it is getting, given it is a battleship compared to my 2013 1500 5.3 that only had a lifetime avg of 14 mpg in 24K miles.
