Default 2014 LT 5.3. Impressive Highway MPG.

Mostly flat. No cruise control. I use less fuel without it. 65-68 MPH. Traded in a vortec max LQ9. Must say that I like the extra cash in my pocket.

Averaging 19-21 in the city.

Was going to get a Range, but I think that I will cross my fingers, run injector cleaner more often and keep the afm.

I was able to get it up to 25.6 yesterday. My TORQ app ecu monitor and bluetooth obd plug confirmed the figures.

In my 2014 Chevy Z71 Crew Cab LT 5.3 I'm lucky to get 14 MPG driving a 20-25 mile round trip back and forth to work each day. I can get 19 MPG taking a trip. Any theories on why this is??

My 2004 Silverado 2wd with the 5.3L V8 gets about 15 mpg around town and 18.5 mpg (on two trips to Michigan) on the highway.

I don't have the cylinder deactivation or FlexFuel option......and my truck has a 3.73:1 axle ratio -- so it sure ain't a Prius!
