I bought a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 8" infotainment system a couple months ago. Since then I've had issues playing music using my iPhone 6. Sometimes when I select a song it will either play from several seconds (or minutes) into the song, sometimes it will just skip to the following song in the playlist (or album), sometimes the system will just freeze altogether. It generally feels like the system uses a CPU from 1993 - lag, freeze, etc....

Has anyone else had problems like this? Please no iPhone vs Android flames. I've used both, prefer iOS & regardless, iOS is a popular platform & one the manufacturer should support fully.

 

BTW - I connect my phone via USB, not Bluetooth. My last vehicle was a 2011 GMS Sierra & the stock system didn't have any problems like this. Occasionally it would display wrong information in Browse mode but playback was fine, no issues.

In my Silverado, selecting and playing a song is painfully slow - to the point where it's almost not worth it to use.....
