Default 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ

What’s happening:
  • The truck will completely shut off without warning—sometimes while reversing into a stall, once while parked, and most recently while driving in full motion. That last one really freaked me out.
  • When this happens, there's no clicking or cranking when trying to restart — it's just totally dead for a moment.
  • Then suddenly, power comes back — like nothing happened.
Other odd symptoms:
  • I’ve seen dash warnings briefly flash, including:
    • Stabilitrak ON/OFF
    • A message telling me to roll down the window and roll it back up to perform a reset (??)
Has anyone experienced something like this? Could this be a failing ground, ignition switch, or EPS-related issue?
Any advice or direction from the community would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks in advance.owns 2018 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ

I think you are on the right track with the grounds. I would clean your battery cables and check for good connections and corrosion on both ends of these cables. Also have your battery tested.
