Can type of shocks soften the ride for the 2003 2500HD Silverado?

 

I saw an advertisement for some Shocks which had a "****" on them, where you dialed in the stiffness. One setting for empty, and you could dial it up to very stiff when necessary for heavier loads.

I can't remember where I saw it, but try a search for Adjustable Shock Absorbers. I really liked the idea of being able to change the stiffness myself, I don't carry a heavy load often.

You might go with air shocks.

 

Other than having the Air stuff on my Burb now, I've never used any Air Shocks. I was under the impression they were more for Leveling, than Dampening.

 

Rancho makes some adjustable shocks that you can make soft or stiff. RS9000XL and they even make a remote so you can adjust without getting under your truck
