Default 275/55R20 tire perssures

I have the 20" tires and chevy recommends 30 psi. Now since I'm towing 8k, It just seems like this is too little. I have bumped the tires up to 35 as an experiment.

Has any one run with this tire size at a higher psi and noticed abnormal tire wear over the life of the tires. At $1200 for a set of these tires (good quality tires), I am asked to see if anyone has had issues with wearing out the centers of these tire sizes at a slightly higher psi.

Thanks

Eric

Being a tire manager for a firestone dealership, I took measurements of all the tires at all three positions (inner, middle, and outer). I was just wondering if someone had run higher psi's and what there experience was regarding tire wear.

Thanks in advance.
