I noticed the other week that the plastic covering on my front left shock is cracked and making a squeaking noise when i go over a bump. my truck is an 04 Silverado LT 4x4. I really want to get a leveling kit when i get new shocks for the front so that i dont have to do an alignment twice but what shocks/leveling kit would you guys recommend so that i dont lose that super smooth chevy factory ride? I had a dodge and a ford before this truck and have gotten super spoiled by the way it rides and dont want to lose that. I only want to get one of the kits that lifts the front up about two inches or so to level it out...whats the best/most cost effective kit/shocks to get?

 

so you have torsion bars up front? you want to replace the torsion keys? not sure what your getting onto buying here... do you have a solid axle front end, or the half shafts/cv shafts?
you want to replace everything just because a dust cover cracked?

 

You can crank the stock keys up..that should level it. If not then replace with ford keys or get gm 2500 keys. They both act as levelin kits without the high price tag. For shocks, get bilstein 5100s
