The 6.0 isn't worth the extra because they wont put it in a single cab truck and for about half what the 6.0 cost i have put my truck's power well beyond the 6.0s power.
I have had all the LS engines except the LS7 and LS9. Having owned all the engines I'd say the in the truck the 4.8 is the best to get.
And yes from the day i picked up my truck and still to this day I can beat a hemi truck through the 1/4. Easier now than before!

 

Well, we will just have to agree to disagree on the 4.8. and as far as the 6.0 not worth it, i dont like regular cab trucks, so for me, its worth it, others it may not be. if i was in the market for a new truck, i would be gettin the vortec max package with the 6.2.
