Default 4x4 issue

So my 4x4 went out a few weeks ago while in the mountains and I just got around to trying to fix it. I thought it was the actuator but after $100 the problem has not been fixed. The transfer case seems to go in because I can hear it "grind" on occasion but the light on the floor shifter is out. The next thing I will check is the transfer case switch and the fuse. Now I look for the fuse under the hood and did not find anything that said 4wd and I don’t seem to have fuses under the dash, can anyone help with any suggestions? Thanks!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

put in 4wd..either high or low.. crawl under and see if the front driveshaft turns...this iwll rule out the transfer case.. it should not turn..most likly something in the front end..

Will do. Do you know where the 4x4 fuse is? Thanks for your input!

Well I feel like a fool..it was a blown fuse. However that brings me to wonder why the fuse would have blown, any clue? Really just happy I have 4x4 again!
