Default 4x4 Issue

I have a 1998 Chevy k1500 Pickup. It has a 6 inch susp' lift and 3 inch body lift, if that applies.

I recently got the truck, and just found out the 4x4 doesnt work. The front driveshaft engages in 4high and 4low, and I know the 4x4 actuator engages properly too, I took it out but kept it plugged in and it did what it was meant to do.
End result... front tires do not spin. Any thoughts?

Spin in what sand dirt?
Did either tire spin?
I have owned a bunch of Off road Jeeps and in hard climbs, the six cylinder would still make the front tires spin when on loose rocks and gravel.
Tire slip is not what you hope for in 4WD. I guess you know that>
So the other question is, do you think that you are not getting enough power to the front wheels?

I just put 31's on it recently and it's still the same problem, I got a new electronic actuator for the 4x4. No change. The driveshaft spins, and it turns the spindel in the transfer case. It must be the gears inside the gear box housing...

Hey, I found that my acuator was good the whole time, it was the bearings between the actuator and my gears that were "Bent"... Weird, but all's well now. Thanks for the help thought guys.
