I have a 1999 Z71 1500, old body style, with a 5.7L, automatic transmission, and push button 4WD. When the button is pushed for 4WD, it engages but the truck shakes. I have no idea what is wrong with it so any advice will be helpful.

Be careful could be a tranny problem. I have just recently had my transmission rebuilt and previous my 4x4 low would not engage. After rebuilt it works fine. Not positive and not trying to put stress on you but be careful and just something to look more into. hope that helps and hope you find out that i am totally off. Just trying to help
