How dependable is the 5.3L engines. Im looking at a 05 with 94k. There asking 10k. Does this sound about right. Thanks

Very dependable. Seen a few myself I over 300k that were absolutely beat to hell. With proper maintenance they could go further

i just bought mine. 150k on the odometer. tranny shifts so smoothly my buddy even said he had to actually pay attention to feel it shift (i let him drive to see as i have a biased opinion being its mine lol) Ive had dodge 1500 with the 5.9L a dakota with the 4.6L V8 multiple ford 5.0L's....the chevy 5.3 tops them all. one of the best parts, my dakota was single cab 5 spd and my chevy gets an average of 1 mpg better city AND 2 mpg better hwy. out of a truck twice the size with bigger tires and engine. I paid 9 for mine. they were asking 11900. best trade/investment i have made to this day though. wouldnt go back for anything
