Default 5.3L Head Gasket

So I don't on a Chevy truck... I own a Jeep Wrangler. But I am swapping in a Vortec 5.3L.

I bought my engine with the harness and accessories from Rons Parts (full service) in Greer SC. They wrote on the engine, receipt, and verbally told me many times that it was from a 2003 Silverado. I thought that was a little weird since it was a drive by cable and not wire. But I figured, not all Chevy trucks were changed to drive by wire in 03 and I just happened to have a cable TB. I've started collecting all the parts (fuel pump, hoses, radiator, 8.8 axle, control arms/mounts, bell housing, etc.). I also replaced the head bolts and gasket (thinking it was a 2003). After looking up some codes... I found out it is a 1999. Will that head gasket for a 2003 still be okay for the 1999?

I'm pretty mad at them for not telling me the correct year. Granted, I should have checked when I saw the TB. I'll probably stick with it since drive by cable is actually easier for me to use.
