I'm looking to put a 5.3L Vortec out of a 2005 Silverado in my 1986 Silverado. I just don't know how to do it, i do know it can and has been done, but i haven't found a thread where someone has done it. I know a lot about basic non-electronic engines, but when it goes to LS or Vortec engines, i'm lost... What Electronic Controllers do i need? Where can i get these? It has a 700R4 in it now, but should i swap it to a 4L60 or 4L80?
