Default 5.7 vortec

hi im new to the site and i drive a 96 silverado long bed and i swapped the old 305 with a 98 vortec 5.7. i was thinking of building the motor but its a long bed so i need some opinions. is it worth it?

i wouldn't build a long bed. long beds are usually bought for work trucks. most people dont want their work truck to have a built motor cuz built motors dont last as long and are higher maintenance.
