Default 6.5 diesel to 5.7 gas

Hello ppl,is there someone out there that can help me ,i was thinking of buying a 94 chev 6.5L.diesel and putting a 5.7L gas engine in it,cuz the owner think's the engine needs a head gasket cuz it lose's antifreze and i dont feel like fixing it.Do any of you think the engines will swap out with out a problem or will have to change the transmission and the wiring harness under the hood thank you.

I am doing this now! I have a 95 1500 that i blew the head gasket in and now am converting, so far this is where i am at....ordering new crate engine from summit, tci controller also to correct shifting on the 4l80e, and a torque converter from a 454 ( was told that would be the best to use between the engine and trans) and going to go tbi for now getting ready to buy this stuff but would like a few "oh yeah that will work" before i buy $ 3000 worth of parts then find out that I will have to replace the trans, and the all the driveshafts because the 4l80e is a different length than all the rest.

Anybody have any knowledge or ever done this before, advice would be greatly appreciated!!

no, i was told to switch out the torque converter to a 454, the engine and trans align, just gotta by the trans comp from tci (700.00) to correct the shifting of the transmission, looking to see if anybody out here has already done this conversion?
