I own a 2011 1500 2WD silverado I am looking to put a 7.5 RCX with 35 nitto and 18 gear alloy and I know little about lifts n general. My buddy told me that I would have to get my rear diff re-geared as well as my transmission modified and my speedometer would have to get recalculated. I am kinda unsure about lifting my truck now even though all this is cosmetical since I have 2wd. Does anybody know if ill have to do all this in order to put this lift on and how bad is wear on the actual truck in general?

You don't absolutely HAVE to but it's recommended no doubt. What offset rim are you gettin? And are they a 18x9? And if you're keepin the truck on the street wear wont be bad at all unless you whippin round every corner

They'll probably run a little bit, just trim up some and you'll be ok. Or add a small (1.25"-1.5") body lift
