700r4 aux valve body question
Was curious on what the aux valve body spring did that is inside the aux valve body ? I recently took apart a 700r4 that did not have reverse (but forward gears worked fine) and this spring was broken in half. I have searched but can't find what specifically it does. could this cause the transmission to not go in reverse ? - I am new to transmission rebuilds and I did pick up the Haynes book from Autozone.
