well it not the flexplate. its the 700r4 transmission making the clicking noise. so i have a th350 in a van sitting around that im going to swap into my truck. so if anbody has any experience with swapping a 700r4 transmission with a th350 in a 1989 chevy c1500 2wd shortbed please give me some input.

diffrent yoke?

Diffrent trans mount?

have to move the crossmember?

linkage changes?

i know the th350 is a stronger tranny to run behind a new 350 and with your help i hope to make it a weakend project.

If I am correct you should be able to just bolt it up, You will need a longer driveshaft. You may want to check on the crossmember. Other than that i'm pretty sure you don't need anything else.
