Hello, I just joined here and i am hoping someone may be able to help. I just purchased a 78 with 6" lift and 35" tires. it runs ok so i took it out for a little shake down yesterday. at slow speed all was fine hard idle but i need a carb rebuild. pulled on to the interstate and thought the truck caught on fire. so much oil coming out of the rear that it is all over the tailgate. Has anyone ever heard of this before? any help is much appreciated.

 

Where is it comming out? Is the vent plugged?
