Default 85 to 100mph cluster in my 85?

hey guys i just bought a new 100mph cluster for my 85 silverado
i currently have the 85mph cluster. my question is, will it work or will it have to be ajusted to read the right speed?

As long as it all bolts up right, it should read the correct speed. Or at least close enough, I don't think that original one from the truck was exact either. No speedometer from 1985 will be exact anyway.

You may want to watch that Tach as you reach those higher speeds. My old 410s had my engine roaring along at @3400RPM at 85MPH. Your differentials and transmission may not be designed to do 100MPH if your rig is configured for low-end power.

You may have to change the speedometer cog in the transmission.
