Default 86 Chevy pick up with 350

Hi, I have a 86 chevy truck with a 350 for engine. When I drive down the road it sounds fine but when I give it gas and the engine twists, it sounds like the exhaust is disconnecting. It does the same thing when drive up a snow bank and play in the snow. Any idea what's going on?

Thx!

If the engine "twists" you might have a broken motor mount on the drivers side.

I agree Old Wrench. My buddy had a '69 GMC and it sounded god awful when you revved it, easy way to find out, pop the hood have someone hit the gas, if the motor jumps its a bad mount. Dont hit the throttle at the carb with your hand if it is bad, the fan may jump up and bite you, i have the scars to prove it.
